Startup companies play a vital and important role in the Sultanate's economy as a major driver of innovation by transforming an innovative and unique idea into added market value, and their endeavor to raise the Sultanate's international innovation indicators that work to drive economic growth and generate job opportunities for specialized national professional competencies with the aim of achieving social welfare. Startups are also a source of economic resources and a crucial element in implementing sustainable development strategies and a basic enhancer of global commercial competitiveness. In addition to their role in facilitating commercial transactions, feeding demand for goods, increasing production of local products, and increasing solutions for entrepreneurial activities in business and its prosperity at the local and international levels, Startups also work to highlight the economic role in stimulating investment in the pillars of the promising economic model and attracting foreign investments in a manner consistent with keeping pace with modern technological developments, artificial intelligence applications and the Fourth Industrial Revolution by activating effective partnerships between the public and private sectors, with the aim of supporting industrial and productive sectors in various sectors and diversifying sources of non-oil national income, which in turn achieves the public interest and supports the Omani economy. The study concluded that the Omani legislator's interest in Startup companies is clear in organizing the legislation related to their work, in addition to the efforts that unite them, but this is not enough to advance them economically. Rather, it is necessary to explicitly state as an urgent necessity the comprehensiveness of their aspects with the legal mechanisms to treat their obstacles and create a legislative system to support and promote them. Especially, in the financing side by granting them legal exceptions and facilitating complex legal procedures and granting them a set of legal facilities and incentives and legal benefits that time their launch in commercial markets and manage them. The study concluded with a call for the Omani legislator to issue a special law for Startup companies independently, that includes all the legal provisions that address their legal and financial challenges.
