Considered as one of the most ancient inhabited villages of Nizwa and Al Dakhilyia region in Oman, Al- Aqar villag comprises within the corners of its fortified walls a mix of antiquities, culture and thought. This can also be easily manifested through the village monuments and its long history engraved in books as well as in the walls of mosques. This study comes to highlight the history of the village, and aims to document its monuments of a significant historical, archeological and architectural importance as well as the urban development of the village. The study focuses on the golden age of the urban and cultural contributions of Bani -Nabhan and Al -Yaariba throughout the historical periods specified in the study. The introduction of the study constituting the theoretical part provided a presentation of the different historical events. Through the encounters and the surrounding archaeological sites in the study area, we have extrapolated the features of economic, religious, political and social life during the prehistoric times. The outsourcing of the Omani and Islamic history, as well as the Omani Fiqh sources enabled me tracing the historical events and its impact on the overall status of Al- Aqar village during the early Islamic periods. The first chapter highlighted the role played by Al-yaariba in the current planning of the village, whereby the researcher analyzed the historical events and its impacts on the various aspects of the village's civilization. The second chapter documented the urban and architectural aspect and shed lights on the village's buildings of precious historical and architectural value, through the description of the defense, religious and civil architectural patterns, rather than analyzing the architectural and Ornamental techniques. The study led to a set of conclusions the most important of which are the strategic location and its role in the succession of human settlements in Al-Aqar village throughout history, security, stability and economic prosperity during the successive reign of Bani-Nabhan and Al-yaariba, which represented the golden age in terms of architectural development in Al-Aqar village. In the conclusion, the study stressed the need to pay further attention to the village in the years to come, namely in terms of infrastructure, through developing an action plan to manage the village, as well as setting the implementation mechanism thereof
