The involvement of the national judiciary in the implementation of conventional international law raises many problems. This study examines the different roles played by the national judiciary in monitoring the various stages of the implementation of international treaties by monitoring the validity of the ratification procedures of the international treaty, monitoring the requirement of publishing the provisions of international conventions, monitoring the requirement of direct effect, the justiciability and monitoring the condition of reciprocity. All this under the most recent findings of jurisprudence.
