This study aims to highlight the civilizational aspects of Yanqul from 17 century to 20 century (14-17 AH). The researcher depended on the historical and descriptive approaches to analyze documents and study the political, administrative, social, and economic aspects respectively. The researcher also used the quantitative/ statistical approach to highlight the commercial goods and relied on the oral narratives by carrying out face-toface interviews. The study is divided into four sections: an introduction, a preamble, three chapters, and a conclusion. The preamble highlighted information about Yanqul’s geographical location, it’s temperature, rainfall, inhabitants, tribes, villages, geography, and artifacts (physical remains). The first chapter covered the political and administrative aspect; the political aspect addressed Yanqul in the late Nabhanids era, then the Ya'aribah, then the AlBusaid while the administrative aspect highlighted the tribal structures and the financial revenues of Yanqul. The second chapter dealt with social life, including personal status, women status in Yanqul community, daily life, diseases, epidemics, health, education, rock art, books, copies of the Qur’ans, urban development, and concluded with the migration of Yanqul people to Zanzibar. The third chapter covers the economic aspect, discussing the agricultural and pastoral activity, crafts, industries, and commercial activity. The study’s conclusion addressed the following most important results inferred from the current study: - This study highlighted the political stages and administrative structures that Yanqul went through. - The local documents provided a general framework of the social and economic aspects.
