The study aimed to identify relationship between mental health and anger patterns of a sample of teachers in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate and demonstrate the nature of the relationship between the level of mental health and anger based on the variables of gender,social status and educational stages. The researcher used in the study two scales; first is the mental health. Second, is the patterns of anger. After that they were applied on a sample consisted of(77) male teachers and (172) female teachers. The descriptive approach was used to answer the study questions. The study concluded that the level of mental health was moderate as well as the anger. Moreover, there were no differences due to gender and social status, except for differences in some sub-dimensions, where the level of avoidance of anger among married couples was more than the divorced and widows. The females also achieved higher levels of satisfaction compared to male teachers. There were no differences between males and females in the overall degree of anger. In dimensions, however, there were differences in the dimensions of avoidance of anger, intentional anger and addictive anger, where males achieved higher scores in deliberate anger and addictive anger, while females were more likely to avoid anger.
It is also noted that there are significant links between anxiety and all kinds of anger, except for anger based on Paranoia, and shyness and moral anger as well as depression, where there are significant links in the dimensions of anger excluding anger based on shame and moral anger.
In addition, this applies on the positive emotions, where there were significant links in the dimensions of anger, except for the addictive anger and moral anger. Also, the emotional relationships are not an exception, where there are significant links in the dimensions of anger except for Paranoia anger, sudden anger, anger based on shyness, addictive anger, usual anger and moral anger. This also applies on the satisfaction of life, where there are significant links in the dimensions of anger, except for avoidance of anger and anger based on shyness as well as addictive anger and moral anger.
The study concluded with a set of results and recommendations regarding the care of mental health of teachers and handling the anger, including:
More attention to the mental health of the teachers and train the teachers to manage and deal with emotions. The implementation of training programs for teachers to develop mental health and awareness of the damages caused by anxiety, depression and others. As for the suggestions, there should be an in-depth study of the level of mental health of teachers at the level of the Sultanate.
