This study aimed to identify the reality of the applying of Management Style by objectives (MSO) in the basic schools at South Al-Batinah Governorate. It also aimed to identify the extent of participation in administrative decision-making. It also aimed to identify the relational relationship between applying of (MSO) and its relation to the participation of subordinates in decision-making.
To collect data, the study used an analytical descriptive method, and aquestionnaire. These methods were applied to a sample of (409) teachers, social specialists, database specialists, and school coordinators.
The study obtained several results; the most significant ones were the estimates of the respondents are 'highly' rated to the reality of application model of (MSO) in the basic schools at South Al-Batinah Governorate in the five areas as a whole. As for the participation of subordinates in decision-making, the sample members 'estimates came with a 'high' rating in all statements. The results also showed the existence of a statistically significant correlation at the level of significance (α≤0.05) between management with the objectives practiced by the sample members and participation in taking Decisions.
The study recommended a set of recommendations; the most important one is strengthening the link between the boss and subordinates, based on practical strategies and policies, to enhance the application of management by goals approach in schools. Work to involve subordinates in making decisions related to administrative tasks in all its aspects.
