This study examined "Ellipsis" a linguistics phenomena which is widely common in Arabic and thoroughly discussed by Arab Grammarians. It specifically focused on the poetical work of Suleiman An Nabhaani examining "Ellipsis" through the relevant quotations. It briefly demonstrated the views of the grammarians on Ellipsis .
The study consisted of An introduction, three chapters and conclusion. In the introduction the literary value of An Nabhaani 's poetry, the definition of "Ellipsis", its causes and conditions and its difference from "implied pronoun" were presented .
The first chapter discussed Ellipsis of "nouns" specifically of the cases of subject , object , adjective and adverb etc. as they appeared in "Daywaan An Nabhaani" ..!
The second chapter dealt with Ellipsis of sentences of different type such as conditional clause , oath clause and noun in the vocative.
The third chapter discussed cases of particle Ellipsis such as prepositions , vocative particles, final "n" in present tense forms of verb "to be", interrogative particles and coordination conjunction.
In the conclusion the resùlts of study were stated .
