The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using the MathXpert software in teaching functions on educational achievement and geometric thinking -where geometric thinking test according to the first four levels at Van Hiele- of grade eleven (male students) in sultanate of Oman. The study used Quasi-experimental design with two groups; an experimental group consisted of (22) students and control group consisted or (23) students who were selected randomly selected from Saif bin Sultan (11-12) school. The data were gathered by means of the designed instruments and analyzed by using PC-SPSS. The study researched to the following results: there were statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in the two tests (achievement tests and geometric thinking) for the experimental group.
