The study aims at determining the extent to which the courses descriptions of the syllabus in Library and Information Sciences programs meet the elements of knowledge management in terms of its practical activities and components. Therefore, the study seeks to answer the three research questions and test a hypothesis. For data collection, a questionnaire was distributed to all faculty members at three universities, including; Sultan Qaboos University, King Abdul-Aziz University and King Saud University. The qualitative and quantitative approaches were applied to achieve the objectives of the study. The study ended with the following basic results:
1. The highest percentage in the distribution of syllabus in the activity of Creation and integration is 45.28%, followed by the Utilization activity 32.07%. 2. The highest percentage in the distribution of syllabus the knowledge-sharing component is 53.70%, followed by the content management component 46.29%. 3. The highest percentage in the integrated curriculum between the creation and integration, and knowledge sharing component is (21.59%), followed by integration of the utilization activity and content management 17.97%. 4. The results show that there is a statistical relationship at the level of 0.05, between teaching of courses and use of technology at the academic level. Based on the above findings, the study proposes kind of agreement in unifying the similar courses, names and in the area of knowledge management description among department. This will be encouraged the interaction and exchange of experiences and research between the departments and other scientific disciplines contributing to the formation of knowledge management.
