In view of the numerous contextual causes of revelation, the researcher narrowed the scope of investigation to verses beginning with a verb and linked them to the causes of their revelation. The thesis, therefore, focuses on the verb usage and meaning approximation.
The thesis is divided into three chapters:
Chapter one : Past Tense Verb (root/stem form, affixed and preceded by a particle), passivized showing tense/time agreement, or acting as an adjunct, or indicating futurity.
Chapter two: The Present Tense Verb (root/stem form, preceded by a particle, thus acting as an adjunct, indicating futurity, continuation and dynamicity.
Chapter three: The Imperative Verb, focusing on the verb 'say' initiating the 'say' verses, and the other imperative forms. This chapter also studies the semantic signification of this verb form as it relates to adjunct, continuation and dynamicity. The chapter ends with a conclusion, findings and recommendations for future investigation of revelation causes in relation to nominal predication.
