The aim of this study is to identify the relationship between Emotional Intelligence skills, Curiosity and academic achievement among eighth grade students in the Sultanate of Oman and to study the differences in Emotional Intelligence skills, and Curiosity according to the gender variable. The current study sample consisted of (511) students in grade eight at the Dakhliya governorate in Oman. The study results have shown that the Emotional Intelligence skills that had the most impact on curiosity were: (withstanding the pressure, encouragement, social relationships, perseverance, and Self awareness). The results indicated that there are significant statistical differences between female and male students in the skills of Emotional Intelligence and Curiosity. Furthermore, the study revealed that the following Emotional Intelligence skills (encouragement, self-confidence, optimism and self awareness) were good predictors of the student's academic achievement.
