How capable the teachers of the first subjects are in teaching the skills of reading aloud to 4th grade pupils of the first cycle of basic education This present study was conducted as an attempt to answer the following questions: Which skills do the first domain teachers need when teaching reading aloud to 4th grade pupils of the first cycle of basic education? - Are the first domain teachers competent enough in the skills of teaching reading aloud effectively to fourth grade pupils of the first cycle of basic education- Does teaching experience have an effect on teacher skills of reading aloud? The researcher (I) used an observation card consisted of 31 skills in teaching reading aloud. This sheet was designed in light of a list of teachings skills compiled and justified by the researcher. The validity of this sheet has been checked when presenting it to (25) judges. The reliability factor has been calculated by applying it on a sample of (10) teachers. I also used Spearman to efficient to check stability which reached 85%. The applied to observation sheet 20 teachers from the original research group. The following are on main findings of the study. The most important contribution is a list of teaching skills needed to teach reading aloud to 4th grade pupils of basic education. This list consists (31) skills divided into three main categories: planning, executing and evaluating. In general the performance of teachers involved in this study in the skills of teaching reading aloud was good. However, there are on statically significant that can be attributed to experience and specialization. Another of recommendations were made first, teacher need to be trained through work shops and courses regarding teaching reading aloud. Supervisors need to visit teachers more frequently to provide them with the appropriate support and advice regarding teaching reading aloud. need is also felt for designing programs for developing the skills involved in teaching reading aloud
