The study aimed to demonstrate the role of each of the Big Five factors of personality and Career decision-making self-efficacy in predicting entrepreneurial intentions among students of Sultan Qaboos University in the Sultanate of Oman. It is the gender and the type of college, and for the purpose of achieving the objectives of the study, a set of tools was applied, namely: the Arabic list of the five personality factors, the Career decision-making self-efficacy scale, and the entrepreneurial intentions scale on a sample of (339) male and female students who were selected by the random cluster sampling method.
The results showed an increase in the level of the five personality factors, Career decision-making self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intentions among students, and a correlation between entrepreneurial intentions and Career decision-making self-efficacy and the five major factors in the dimensions of acceptance, extroversion and openness, and the presence of statistically significant differences depending on the variable Gender in favor of males in entrepreneurial intentions in the extraversion dimension, and differences in favor of females in the neuroticism and openness dimension, and differences in self-efficacy for professional decision-making in the dimension of acceptance and mastery. As for the college variable, the results showed that there were differences in favor of scientific colleges in Career decision-making self-efficacy, and there were no differences in the five factors of personality and entrepreneurial intentions. Based on the results of the study, some recommendations and proposals serve the guidance and vocational guidance and the educational field in general.
