الملخص الإنجليزي
This study aimed to identify the Reality of the Quality of Work Life
for Educational Supervisors in the Directorates General of Education in all
Governorates in the Sultanate of Oman. The study sample consisted of
(242) educational supervisors (subject supervisors - field supervisors). To
achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was adopted
where a questionnaire was built consisting of 41statements distributed into
six dimensions of the quality of the working life of educational supervisors
(the availability of a healthy and physical working environment,
participation in decision-making, wages, incentives and rewards,
leadership and supervisory style, professional development programs,
complaints and grievances).
The study reached several results, the most important of which are as
follows.
- The current quality of the work life of the educational supervisors in
the Sultanate of Oman came at a moderate level on all dimensions of
the study from the point of view of the study sample individuals.
- The dimension of "Leadership and supervisory style" was the most
available while the dimension of "Wages, incentives and rewards"
was the least available for the educational supervisors.
- There were statistically significant differences regarding the current
quality of work life for educational supervisors in the Sultanate of
Oman according to the gender variable (male, female) in all
dimensions of the study except in the third dimension: wages,
incentives and rewards; in favor of the males.
- There were statistically significant differences in regard to the three
dimensions (the first dimension: the availability of an appropriate
healthy work environment, the second dimension: participation in
decision-making, the sixth dimension: complaints and grievances) in
favor of those holding a Bachelor's degree or less.
