The current study aimed to identify the Problems facing school principals in managing educational crises in Al Dakhiliya Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The study followed the descriptive correlative method, and the questionnaire was used to collect data and information, and it was applied to a sample of (112) School principals.
The study reached several results, that there are problems facing school principals in managing educational crises in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman, which came to a high degree overall, and also came to a high degree in the Felds of problems related to school employees, problems related to financial resources, and problems related to higher management, While it came to a very high degree in the focus of problems related to parents and the local community. The results also showed differences of statistical significance on the scale of (α ≤0.05) in the average results of the sample in response to the questionnaire and this difference can be accredited to the variable of gender (male/female) in relation to the core of the problems relating to school employees and those relating to higher management and the difference was in favor of the males. Gender did not have any similar effect on the problems relating to financial resources, parents or the local community. In addition, there was no difference of statistical significance on the scale of (α ≤0.05) when it came to the variables of degree, years of experience, and level of education.
The study concluded with several recommendations, the most important of which are: holding courses and training programs for all school staff on crisis management at all levels, namely, the Ministry of Education through the Specialized Institute for Professional Training for Teachers, and its affiliated directorates through training centers, and schools through schools through professional development programmes, Expand the authorities of school principals to take decisions in case of crises, and to act directly for the importance of time in such cases.
