The current study aimed to identify the burnout and its relationship to perceived self-competence among mothers of students with disabilities at sultanate of Oman. The study sample consists of (484) respondents who were mothers of students with disabilities. The researcher developed a burnout Scale which consist of (19) items and perceived self-competence Scale which consist of (20) items. Correlation descriptive design was used. The results showed that the level of burnout was low (Mean= 2.30), while the level of perceived self-competence was high (Mean= 3.87). Regarding correlation coefficient, the results showed that there was significant negative correlation between burnout and perceived self-competence. According to variables, the results showed that there was significant difference in burnout due to mother age variable in favor of the more than 40, and type of disability variable in favor of the autism, and type of institution variable in favor of the public institution. On other hand, the results showed that there was significant no significant difference in burnout due to type of job, and number of children with disabilities variables. Regarding perceived self-competence, the results showed that there was significant difference due to mother age variable in favor of the less than 40, and type of work variable in favor of the not working mothers, and type of disability variable in favor of the autism (low perceived self-competence). On other hand, the results showed that there was no significant difference in perceived self-competence due to type of institution variables.
