This study aimed at developing a group collective counseling program and finding out its efficiency in decreasing the bullying behavior among grades 8 and 9 students in Al Dhakilya Region in Sultanate of Oman. Actually, in order to get a specific sample of students for the study, the researcher applied a measurement for school students' bullying behavior specifically for the purpose of this study. Around 182 students from classes 8 and 9 in Salih Bin Al Mutawakil Basic Education School in Al Dhakilya Region in Sumael were chosen to be exposed to the measurement.
The researcher could specify a sample of 24 students who achieved the highest rates of bullying behavior during the time of the study. Then, those students were grouped into two categories. The first group was called the experiential group (12 students) which received a mass counseling program that was built to reach the objectives of this study. The second group was taken from the same sample but it received no remedy.
This group Counseling Program utilized a behavioral cognitive remedy ason which consisted of (15) counseling sessions. They were conducted within 8 weeks, two sessions a week. The duration of each session took between 50 to 70 minutes.
Also, in order to get a statistical explanation for the differences between rates of school bullying behavior among the students of the two groups, A Mann-Whitney U Test was used.
At the end, the results showed that there were disparities of a statistical meaning between the two groups of students. In other words, the experiential groups is the one which needs an urgent counseling to reduce the bullying behavior among students.
