The study aimed to analyze the activities of reading lessons in My
Beautiful Language for the Grade Five and Grade six in the Sultanate of Oman
in light of creative thinking skills. To achieve this, the researcher used the
descriptive method, and prepared a list of 22 creative thinking skills, and a
content analysis card. The study population consisted of all (493) activities of
reading lessons in my beautiful language book "My Reading Skills" for Grade
Five and Six. The study reached the following results: The skill of flexibility is
the most available creative thinking skill in the activities of the reading lessons
for Grade Five and Grade Six, followed by expansion, fluency, then originality.
No statistically significant differences between the percentages of all the main
creative thinking skills in the activities of the reading lessons were found for
both grades. The study recommended taking into account the balance and
comprehensiveness between the main and secondary creative thinking skills
when designing the activities of reading lessons.
