The study aimed to identify the reality of employing cycle two teachers of the twenty-first century skills in education from the point of view of school principals and their assistants in North Batinah Governorate. It also sheds light on the difficulties and challenges facing teachers in applying these skills, and finally gives suggestions to face those challenges and difficulties. To achieve objectives, the study followed the descriptive approach that suits the nature of the study. A questionnaire was used to collect data, and the questionnaire included two main parts: The first part is about the reality of employing twenty first century skills in education, and the second part is the challenges facing teachers in employing twenty first century skills in education. The study sample included (40) principles of cycle two schools and their assistants in North Batinah Governorate.
The study found that the degree of employment of teachers of the cycle two of twenty-first century skills in education was medium in general, and to a medium degree in all dimensions of the first part. The results also showed that the challenges facing teachers in employing twenty-first century skills in education came to a large degree, with challenges related to the learner coming first, followed by challenges related to the educational environment. The results were discussed, and some solutions were presented such as: spreading the culture of twenty-first century skills in education, providing supportive programs and effective educational technologies, and training and qualifying teachers.
