This study aimed to identify the level of implementation of
excellence management standards among school principals of the
second cycle in the Asharqia South Governorate in the Sultanate of
Oman from the teachers’ point of view in light of the Malcolm
Baldrige model. To achieve this objectives, the researcher used on the
analytical descriptive approach. All teachers of the second cycle, who
numbered (2401), for the academic year 2022/2023. The study sample
included (337) teachers, who were randomly selected. The study
instrument was the questionnaire, which was verified for its validity
and reliability. It consisted of (50) items.
The results of the study indicated a very high level of
implementation of excellence management standards among the
principals of the second cycle schools in the Al Sharqiyah South, with
an arithmetic mean of (4.44), and the leadership dimensions was
ranked first with an arithmetic mean of (4.52). While the focus on
beneficiaries dimensions came in last place, with a mean of (4.36), and
all dimensions came at a very high level. It also indicated that there
were statistically significant differences at the level of significance
(0.05) in the level of implementation of excellence management
standards to the gender variable in favor of males, while there were no
statistically significant differences to the years of service variable. The
study recommended adopting a national model for excellence
management; it's standared from Omani culture, and supporting
distinctive initiatives that enhance excellence management in schools.
