The study aimed to identify the Islamic Education teachers' practice for active learning strategies and their obstacles in Batinah South Government schools in the Sultanate of Oman from the point of views of school principals, their assistants and senior teachers. It aimed also to reveal the statistical differences among the teachers in terms of the extent of practicing active learning strategies. The researcher used the descriptive approach in this study. A random sample from the study participants was selected and consisted of (88) school principals, their assistants and senior teachers. The researcher used a questionnaire consisting of (35) statements and divided into two domains. The first domain is related to the Islamic Education teachers practicing active learning strategies and the second domain is related to the obstacles that Islamic Education teachers face in practicing active learning strategies that are related to the teacher, the student, the curriculum and the administrative system. The study concluded several results , the most important of which are the extent of Islamic Education teachers practice for active learning strategies from the point of view of school principals, their assistants and senior teachers, they came of a medium degree and there were statistically significant differences at the level of the function (a<o.05) in the estimates of the study sample about the extent to which Islamic Education teachers apply active learning strategies due to the variable of experience in favor of the sample study with 15 years and more experienced. The absence at statistically significant differences was found at the level of the function (a<o.05) due to gender Variable. The study presented a set of recommendations; scaffold Islamic teachers skills regards applying active learning strategies, school principals should take their responsibilities as well as Islamic senior teachers in developing teachers of Islamic education and improving their skills and training them on new trends in practicing active learning strategies inside the classrooms.
