This study aims to identify the strategic leadership practices
(setting strategic direction, developing human capital, participatory decision-making,
supporting organizational culture) and their application in the Ministry of Trade, Industry
and Investment Promotion. It also aims to measure employees' motivation levels and
examine the degree of achieving institutional excellence. Specifically, it seeks to measure
the impact of strategic leadership practices and employee motivation on organizational
excellence.
The researcher employed the descriptive analytical approach to conduct the study and the
questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection. The ministry's employees
represented the study population, and the convenient sampling method was used to collect
data from a sample of 262 employees. The researcher also used the SPSS program for
statistical analysis of data.
The study's findings revealed a positive and significant impact of strategic leadership
practices on institutional excellence and that setting strategic direction was the most
influential dimension of strategic leadership, followed by supporting organizational
culture, human capital development, and participatory decision-making. Moreover, the
results indicated the presence of a positive and significant impact of employee motivation
on institutional excellence.
