The study aimed to prepare A Proposed for Developing the Performance of Principals of Government Schools Implementing Special Education Programs in Light of Oman Vision 2040 in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher relied on the descriptive approach in studying the level of performance of public-school principals applying special education programs in the Sultanate of Oman. She also relied on the future studies approach in building the proposed scenario. The questionnaire was also used in collecting data and information, and it was applied to a sample of (273) teachers of special education who were selected in the Convenient Sampling.
The study reached several results, the most important of which is that the level of performance of directors of public schools applying special education programs in the Sultanate of Oman was average in all dimensions. The results of the current study also revealed that there are statistically significant differences in the level of performance of directors of special education programs at the level of significance (α≤0.05) for the study variables: gender, educational qualification, and type of program.
In light of the results of the study, a proposed vision was presented to develop the performance of public-school principals applying special education programs in the Sultanate of Oman in light of Oman Vision 2040. The researcher recommends taking advantage of the proposed vision at the level of the General Directorate of Special Education and Continuous Learning in particular, and at the level of the Ministry of Education in general.
