The study aimed to identify the degree of practicing creative leadership skills among
principals in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman from the point of view
of the first teachers. The descriptive survey approach was used. To achieve the objectives of the
study, the researcher developed a scale for the degree of practicing creative leadership. The study
sample consisted of (123) male and female teachers from the senior teachers.
The results showed that the degree of practicing creative leadership skills among principals
of schools in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman from the point of view of
the first teachers was high with an arithmetic mean of (4.04). The results also indicated that there
were no statistically significant differences between the estimates of the study sample members
for the degree of practicing creative leadership skills among principals of schools in North Al
Sharqiyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman from the point of view of the first teachers
attributed to the variables of years of experience and academic qualification. There are also
differences attributed to the gender variable in favor of males.
In light of the study results, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations,
including: enhancing creative leadership skills among principals, enabling them to improve
educational outcomes for students, and continuing to implement training courses for school
principals on the basics of creative leadership and how to apply it in the field during their work in
schools with teachers and students.
