The aim of this research is to identify the degree of psychological resilience and its
relationship to the academic achievement of college students in Nizwa University in
Sultanate of Oman. The total number of participant in the study was 367 students; 142
male students and 225 female students. The researcher used psychological measure
(Shakoora 2012) which is consisting of (47) items classified in three main dimensions
(emotional, mental, and social). In fact, the researcher has verified the trustiness and
stability of the measure, and has made sure that it can be applied to this study.
The research result has shown that the degree of psychological resilience of the sample
student is high .Furthermore, the average result for all dimensions of the psychological
resilience was 2.38; which is a high score. Moreover, the study found that there are
statistical differences in psychological resilience between students in degree of
academic achievement in Nizwa University in sultanate of Oman and high achiever
students have significant level of (0.052a). In addition to that, the study found that there
is no statistical differences in psychological resilience between male and female
students in Nizwa University in sultanate of Oman level of (0.052a).
