The Omani legislator has endeavored to establish an integrated legal organization
in which to protect the private life from violations. The most important is crime of
recording and monitoring phone calls. It tried to reconcile between the public inter est that requires monitoring and recording some phone calls to detect crimes and
their perpetrators, and between the individual interest in protecting Confidentiality
in phone calls. Through many texts contained in the various laws. Here we tried to
answer an important question which is the effectiveness of those texts in reducing
the crime of recording and monitoring calls, based on the descriptive analytical
