The study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using internet in teaching social studies on the development of grade four students' water awareness and their attitudes towards using the internet. The study sample consisted of (62). They were divided into two groups, experimental group consisted of (31) students and control group of (31). To examine the effectiveness of the internet in the development of water awareness, three measures were used: knowledge test consisted of (29) questions, attitudes scale consisted of (18) items, and behavior scale consisted of (6) situations. It also developed a scale for measure attitudes towards the internet consisted of (20) items. The validity was examined by a panel of judges and reliability was (.811).
The results showed significance differences in favor to experimental groups and students high positive attitudes towards using the internet in teaching social studies. The study recommended to spread the use of internet in teaching.
