The study aimed to identify the role of school administration in the development of intellectual security among school students in Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman through four dimensions: (1) the religious dimension, (2) the national dimension, (3) dialogue and accepting the other opinions dimension, (4) Criticizing dimension. It also aimed to develop suggested procedures that will help the school administration develop the intellectual security of school students.
To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was applied to a sample of (494) which contain of (77) school principals, (86) assistants and (331) the senior teachers: in the basic education schools (5-10) and the post-basic schools (11-12) in Muscat Governorate. The study's sample individual's assessments indicated that there was significant importance of the school administration in enhancing the intellectual security of the schools' students in all the study's dimensions. The national dimension ranked the first place, dialogue and acceptance of other opinions dimension ranked the second place, religious dimension ranked the third place and the critical thinking ranked the fourth and last place. The results of the study revealed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05%a) in all dimensions of the tool in the role of school administration in the development of intellectual security among school students in Muscat Governorate from the point of view of the study sample members. The results of the study revealed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.052a) significance level in all the tool's dimensions from the study's sample individuals' perspective attributed to the type variable and were for the females. Regarding the position variable, they were for the principal and for the academic level variable were for post basic education schools (11-12) only in the religious dimension. Moreover, the study concluded that there were no statistical significance differences attributed to the state variable in all dimensions and the school's tool as a whole. The study came out with a set of proposed procedures for each study's dimension to increase the efficiency of the school administration role in enhancing the schools' students' Intellectual Security.
