The present study aimed to assess the level of emotional intelligence (EI) and self-confidence (SC) of 11th grade students in private schools in Muscat. Additionally, it explored gender & specialization differences in EI and SC. Also, it investigated the correlation relationship between both constructs. The sample consisted of 300 participants (males = 150, Females = 150). Emotional intelligence scale (Shabeb, Al-Said, 2016), self-confidence scale (Al-Sameri, Said, 2009) were used. Descriptive method was adopted. Results indicated that levels of EI and SC were high. There was statistically significant positive correlation relationship between EI and SC. Gender and specialization differences in EI were insignificant. Gender differences in SC were significant while specialization differences in SC were insignificant.
