The study aimed to make a suggested proposal for a training program for the administrative supervisors in the light of their training needs in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve this aim a questionnaire consisting of (46) items divided into eight categories representing the training needs of the administrative supervisors was constructed. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire was checked, then it was distributed among (74) male and female administrative supervisors. Out of the (74) distributed questionnaires (70) were returned. SPSS was used to conduct the means, standard deviation and for the all items.
The results showed that (37) items distributed among the eight categories were considered to be of a strong and a medium training need for the administrative supervisors. These (37) items were the items that had a mean of (3.00) and above. The items were less than (3.00) were not counted. The results showed statistical differences in regard to gender among the response of the study participants in the category of Planning and the category of Strategies of Administrative Supervision in favor of male participants. There also were statistical differences in regard to the educational qualification among the responses of the study participants in the category of Modern Educational Technologies in favor of the holders of higher diplomas and the holders of bachelors. Finally, statistical differences in regard to experience were also found in the category of Planning and the category of Modern Educational Technologies in favor of the participants who had a longer experience.
The study concluded with a group of recommendations such as:
1- It is recommended that the Ministry of Education to adopt the suggested proposal and use it in its plans of professional development of the administrative supervisions. 2-The administrative supervisions should work to have the tendency of selfdevelopment through reading and following the new development in the
educational field.
3. It is important to include the administrative supervisions in determining their training needs and selecting the appropriate training programs.
