The study was designed to identify the relationship between positive thinking and stress among the students of Nizwa University. The sample of the study consisted of (385) male and female students, who were selected according to the available method. The researcher used the Arab scale for positive thinking, prepared by (Abdul Sattar Ibrahim.2008) , And the Scale of stress prepared by( Majdi Jayousi,2014). The results of the study reached the following:
- Nizwa University students enjoy high positive thinking and moderate psychological pressure.
- There is a statistically significant negative correlation between the dimensions of the positive thinking scale and the dimensions of the stress scale, except two dimensions of the positive thinking scale, namely, "emotional control and control of the higher mental processes" and "positive risks" that showed no correlation with stress.
- There were no statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤ 0.05) between males and females at the level of dimensions of the positive thinking scale according to the gender variable, except after the "positive expectations and optimism", "the love of science and the development of healthy knowledge for females, And control of higher mental processes in favor of males.
- There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance
(α ≤ 0.05) among students of scientific and literary specialization on the stress and positive thinking scale according to the specialization variable
- There were no statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) between males and females in the level of dimensions of the psychological scale according to the gender variable - except after economic pressure - in favor of males.
