The purpose of this study was to explore the common occupational environments and their relationship to the level of aspiration and career interests among the twelfth grade students according to gender. Holland's Six Personality Types Test (HSPTT), Level of Aspiration Test and Career Interests test were administered to 392 students.
Findings revealed that the common occupational environments in all students were respectively: social, investigative, enterprising, conventional, realistic and artistic.
The most common occupational environments in male students were respectively: realistic, investigative, while the most common occupational environments in female were respectively: social and investigative. The findings also revealed that there was positive correlation between investigative and social environment, while there was negative correlation between realistic environment and level of aspiration.
In addition, if we focus on realistic environment and enterprising environment, we notice significant differences in aspiration and interests due to gender and these differences were in favor of male students.
