The study aims at addressing and examining the divine love presented in Lisan ad Din ibn al-Khatib's book: The Garden of Definition of Virtuous love. The problem of study lies in the author's treatment of divine love in this work of prose, which came in opposition to the Anthology of Romance "Diwan As şababah", with the latter being an examination of human love, but differed in the quality of the beloved addressed, so it was worth the while to examine the divine love, and the way it was handled by the author in the light of his own view. The study was divided into four chapters; preceded by a brief introduction on the life of the author, the age in which he lived, his culture, political and literary status, the most influential Andalusian works he produced and his killing. The first chapter deals with the book itself in terms of the aesthetic value of its title, the reasons for its authorship, its methodology, sources, literary importance and the way it related to the killing of its author. The second chapter deals with the definition of love in the language and its forms. It sought to indicate its importance, the difference in its definitions, the extent of its connection to the lone spiritual essence of the soul; explaining the statement of its relationship to knowledge and the author's idea of love as the center of the universe and his view on the issue of love between acquisition and choice. The third chapter tackles the issue of divine love and its concept based on what is stated in the Mudawwaana, its types, causes, statuses, the love of the soul and its manifestations, and the way it is connected to the love of Allah. The fourth chapter was entitled: Signs of Divine Love. Such signs- and lovers in Ibn al Khatib's eyes were exhibited and divided into outward and inward. In this chapter I also addressed the sections of lovers. The study adopted the thematic approach- best suited to this kind of literary studies- and aimed to follow the topics of love in the book and related issues. The study reached a number of results, the most prominent of which is that inclination to love Allah is not derived from man's heart, all kinds of love come back to the love of Allah as He is the omnipotent of love and praises, passion is one degree of love that cannot be ascribed to Allah and that love is beyond the will and choice of humans.
