Specifying the applicable law in the International contracts is consider as central issue in Private International Law. Many legislations, including Omani Legislation, have adopted general rules to specify the law of the contract. This general rule is applicable in all types of contracts; however, some contracts have their own features whether because of their nature or the nature of the parties. For Example, the International Consumer Contracts are known as unbalanced contracts because of their party?s nature; therefore, the general rule will not provide the lm legal certainty or protection for the international consumer. The issue is the necessity to provide specific rule for the International Consumer Contracts that provide the consumer with security and protection. Because of this issue, this study aims to find a rule in order to achieve legal certainty for consumers when they choose the applicable law in contracts in case of disputes.
