English abstract

The hound needlefish, Tylosurus crocodilus (Péron et Lesueur, 1821) is a marine fish species associated with reefs. The first documented record of the hound needlefish, in Omani waters is based on a specimen of 750 mm total length collected by gill net on the coast of Muscat City, Oman. Morphometric and meristic data are provided.
