The study aimed to investigate the role of in enhancing the values of citizenship from in addition to define which values of citizenship are crucial to be consolidated in the youth in Arabic Golf Countries. Furthermore, the study attempts to identify the challenges that encounter the values of citizenship and the role of educational institutions in developing the values of citizenship among the youth. The sample of the study consists of (170) policy-makers, Universities' professors, and teachers. The sample also included the educational philosophies, and general aims documents, national education textbooks and the social studies textbooks. To achieve the objectives thee researchers prepared an open questionnaire made up of four questions. The study results showed that the most important citizenship values that 228 العدد التا�سع والع�شرون ــ يناير 2018م must attempt to instill at the youth from the perspectives of the sample: eco nomic values, political values, social values and cultural values. The study also revealed that citizenship values were to some extent embraced in the educational philosophies documents and the curriculum of national and social studies education put it required to direct more attention to participa tion values of citizenship. Furthermore, the higher education institutions in the GCC also focus on citizenship values especially political values. Upon the previous results, the researchers recommended the following: adopting the suggested strategy in order to consolidate the citizenship values according to intentional and systematic method. In addition, the study stress on the role of educational institutions in increasing the values of citizenship in cooperation with another related institutions.
