Solitary rectal ulcer syndrome is common in adults; however, it isthought to be rare in children. The etiology and exact pathogenesisof this condition are poorly understood. The main presentingfeature of solitary rectal ulcer syndrome is rectal bleeding, but theclinical diagnosis and treatment remain challenging, particularlyin pediatric patients. We present two pediatric patients withsolitary rectal ulcer syndrome, who were treated surgically, andremain asymptomatic after the procedures. Clinicians shouldbe aware of this problem in order to avoid delayed diagnosis andmanagement.
