English abstract
This study aimed to identify the psychological hardness and its relation with the professional consensus among post basic education teachers in the Governorate of South Al-Batinah in the Sultanate of Oman. The sample of the study consisted of 306 teachers; 178 males and 128 females. The sample were chosen based on the stratification random method. In order to achieve the aims of the study the descriptive correlational approach was used. The development of the psychological hardiness and professional consensus scales were designed by the researcher) on the study sample members after verifying their psychometric characteristics (honesty and stability).The study findings showed the following:
1- Psychological hardness level among post basic education teachers in the Governorate
of South Al-Batinah according to total sum of the scale was high. The average was 2.44.
2- Professional consensus among post basic education teachers in the Governorate of South Al-Batinah according to total sum of the scale was average. The average was 2.29
3- There is an extrusive statistically significant relation between psychological hardness level and professional consensus level among post basic education teachers in the Governorate of South Al-Batinah.
4-No statistically significant differences at the indication level (0.05 > a) for the psychological hardness level according to type.
5-No statistically significant differences at the indication level (0.05 > a) for the psychological hardness level according to major.
6-No statistically significant differences at the indication level (0.05 > a) for the psychological hardness level according to teaching experience.
7- There are statistically significant differences at the indication level (0.05 > a) for the professional consensus level according to type, for the females.
8- There are statistically significant differences at the indication level (0.05 > a) for the professional consensus level according to major, for applied sciences.
9- No statistically significant differences at the indication level (0.05 > a) for the professional consensus level according to teaching experience.
10- Psychological hardness helps in predicting professional consensus post basic education teachers in the Governorate of South Al-Batinah.
