English abstract
The new electronic social work is a modern approach to the Social work profession
at present, especially in the exceptional circumstances now facing the world; the global
epidemic, COVID19, where technology has become the main tool for the world to make
business and continue to deliver services.
Due to the extremely high importance of Technology, the study aimed to identify
the reality of the use of social workers in the school field by recognizing the importance of
using electronic social work in the professional practice in the school field. The roles of
social workers in the professional practice in the field of school social work from the
perspective of electronic social work, as well as identifying obstacles to the use of
electronic social work in professional practice, and reaching proposed mechanisms for
activating electronic social work practice in the field of school.
The study is considered a descriptive study through the comprehensive social
survey method for all social workers working in Public schools in the State of AL Seeb,
and used an electronic questionnaire tool designed to collect the required data.
The study results showed that social workers had an awareness of the importance of
electronic social work and that it's most important uses were in the professional practice
with students, administrative work, school activities, community institutions and self development. The results also indicated that there is a number of obstacles to the
employment of electronic social service, the most important of which are technical errors,
breaches of the principle of confidentiality, and technological illiteracy. The study has
reached some suggestions for activating the electronic social work, including: An
electronic platform for the work of social workers on the educational portal, the follow-up
to the practice of electronic social work by the ministerial supervision, and the designing of
a website that provides services to students electronically.
