English abstract
The aim of present study is to explore metamemory skills(awareness, diagnosis and monitoring) and motivation (Internal and external) skills and their relationships with academic achievement among grade twelve children in AL-Batinah North. The study also aimed at exploring whether there is a difference in these variables according to sex and age .For this purposes tow were to 416.The results show that children's level of understanding of metamemory and the level of motivation was average. In addition, the results show that while there was sex significant differences in motivation ( internal and external) in favor of girls, and the relationship between metamemory /internal motivation and academic achievement was positive, but the relationship between
metamemory / external motivation was not significant.
