English abstract
This experimental study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using Cubic Strategy on grade six female students in dictation.
To achieve this aim, the researcher prepared a dictation test and a guideline for teaching dictation using Cubic Strategy in dictation lessons. Both of these instruments were reviewed by expert jury to test their validity. The reliability of the test was found to be (0.77) using Cronbach' Alpha.
The sample of the study consisted of (64) female students divided in to two groups; an experimental group consisting (34) female students who were taught using the Cubic Strategy, and a control group that consisting (30) female students who were taught by the normal way. Then, a test in dictation was conducted for the both groups after the intervention.
Data analysis revealed this result: There is a statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in favor of the experimental group as a result of the Cubic strategy instruction.
In the light of this result, the researcher recommenden to use Cubic Strategy in teaching dictation in various stages Also, using this Strategy for different Arabic language skills and training the teachers of Arabic language in using Cubic Strategy in well. Moreover, including the Arabic language text books this strategy.
