English abstract
This study, conducted in Sultan Qaboos Center for the Islamic Culture in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, aims at establishing an educational, social and innovative environment where creativity develops in the institution environment. This was done through identifying the available facilities, the encouraging factors and the drawbacks that might hinder the development of creativity. This study is descriptive in nature; therefore, it depended on comprehensive surveying. The researcher used a questionnaire for each group: one for employees and one for students. The Ideal Model method was used as well. A model of creativity and creative environment was designed and implemented on the sample population. As for data analysis, all of the means, central deviations and percentages were extracted in addition to the use of One Way ANOVA test. The sample population of the study consisted of (40) employees, among which specialists and those who are in relation with cultural and educational planning in the Center, and (120) students in Muscat - a total of (160) people. The study shows a collect of findings among which:
• Facilities and entities that enhance creativity development are available in the Center if activated.
• There is no obvious, written, creative plan.
• (79.2 %) of the sample, population possesses the desire to be creative.
• Students possess most of the creative personal characteristics.
• The importance of the role of the elements of the social structure in the institution environment in setting up a socially and educationally healthy institution environment for the development of creativity. Based on the findings, the study states a host of recommendations related to every pivot, all of which focus on the importance of preparing an educational atmosphere and a social environment where most outstanding constituents of the development of creativity in the institution environment exist.
