English abstract
This study investigated the development of spatial ability at preparatory and secondary stages due to their promotion (2nd, 364 preparatory and 1st secondary ). It is also aimed at investigating the effect of geometric achievement level (high, medium , low ) and sex (males , females ) on the students spatial ability.
To answer the study's questions, the spatial orientation test ( card rotation test ) and three geometric achievement tests were used. The sample consisted of (900) students (450 males , 450 females ) distributed on ( 11 ) preperatory schools and (13) secondary schools, selected from (6) states of AL-Batnah Reigon. The findings of the study showed statistically significant differences among student's scores means of their spatial abilities due to their grade levels , geometric achievement level and their sex.
In light of the findings of the study ,it is recommended that more studies could be conducted on other educational variables which are related of spatial ability.
