English abstract
The study aimed to identify the relationship between satisfaction with career guidance services and perceived pressures among a sample of 12th grade students in the North Al Batinah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The sample consisted of 841 male and female students, i.e., 10% of the original study population. A questionnaire was used to determine the satisfaction of voacational guidance services (2018) prepared by the researcher, as well as a questionnaire to identify the perceived pressures of Cohen and others (Cohen et al. 1983), translated in arabic and developed by Al Rabkhy(2016). He developed the scale and adapted to suit the Omani environment of and consists of (10) paragraphs, where the coefficient of correlation reached (0.85) while the alpha Cronbach coefficient reached (0.50), which is guiding and suitable for the purposes of study.
The study followed the Correlative descriptive approach. The study concluded that the level of satisfaction of students with the guidance and career guidance provided to them by the students was at the satisfied level, with a mathematical average of 2.82 and a percentage of (71.8%). However, the level of perceived pressures was neutral, with an average of 1.81 and a percentage of 56.1%. There was statistically significant correlation at the level of (0.01 ≤ α) between satisfaction with career guidance services and pressures awareness. The study also showed that there were statistically significant differences between males and females in the level of satisfaction with career guidance services. The average showed differences in favor of females. As for the specialization variable, the study showed that there were statistically significant differences in the level of satisfaction with career guidance services for the applied students. The study also showed statistically significant differences between males and females in the level of perceived pressures. As for the variable of specialization, the study showed that there were significant differences in the level of perceived pressures, differences are evident that they are in favor of applied students.
