This study aims to measure the degree of effectiveness of the educational
supervision experts' program at the Specialized Institute for Professional training of
Teachers in the Sultanate of Oman in preparing graduates who are able to exercise their
supervisory duties from the perspectives of the graduates and senior supervisors. doing so,
the researcher used the Stufflebeam Model for Multiple Decisions (Stufflebeam Model
CIPP).
In order to achieve the aims of the study, the researcher employed the mixed method approach, using the convergent parallel design model. instruments were
implemented. The first was a questionnaire, which included 48 items categorized in four
main domains of the multiple decision model (context, inputs, processes and outputs) and
the context was combined with the input in one domain. This questionnaire was applied on
a sample of 103 male and female supervisors of the program graduates. The second
instrument was semi-structured interviews which were conducted with 32 senior
supervisors who have had experience in supervising graduates of the program.
The impressions of the first supervisors on the program varied; Some of them have
had positive impressions of how satisfied they are with the program output, and they make
up 25% of the interview sample, they see that the program is good, and has improved the
performance of graduate supervisors, and on the other side there are those who have
negative impressions of the program, and they constitute 75% of Members of the interview
sample, where they indicated that the program did not contribute to training supervisors in
supervisory tasks clearly, and did not distinguish those who joined it with a distinct
performance from the rest.
