English abstract
The study has sought to know the level of insurance culture that
Omani workers have in the Private sector , the obstacles which limit the
prevalence of it and the ways which promote it for the Omani workers in
private sector. The study's goals are summarized in the following
questions:
1- what is the level of Insurance culture of the Omani workers in
United Engineering services Company?
2- what are the obstacles which limit the prevalence of insurance
culture in United Engineering services Company?
3- How can promote the insurance culture for the Omani workers in
the Private sector?
To answer these questions, a questionnaire and the social
comprehensive survey's approach have been used to collect the data,
from a sample of 123 Omani workers working in the United Engineering
Services Company
The most important Findings of the study are:
1- The study's results pointed out that there is a weak insurance
culture for the workers who participated in the study in general.
2- It is clear that there is an influence for each of the social status
and educational level of the Omani workers. Also, the kind of job
which they have occupied has influenced their knowledge about
social insurances' systems.
3- The results showed that there is obstacles which limit the
prevalence of insurance culture which are: There is no benefit
from the services of Public Authority for Social Insurances,
absence of confidence of social insurances' work and their work
nature. , lack of interest of the mangers' in the company about
the subject of social insurances , lack of interest of the workers to
know about them, and because the insurance's operation is
obligatory that workers see it needless to know about
