view in the Interior Governorate of the Sultanate Oman. The study sample consisted of
(265) male and female teachers who were randomly selected. There were two
questionnaires used in this study to collect the data for the descriptive approach; the
first is to measure the degree of practice of distributed leadership, and the second is to
measure the level of academic optimism among teachers.
Furthermore, the study's out comes are as follows:
- The degree of practice of the principals of the post-primary schools in Oman's internal
governorate to the distributed leadership from the teacher's point of view was within
the degree of high practice. The mean ranged between 4.18 to 4.03 and a standard
deviation between (752) to (661).
- The level of academic optimism in the study sample of the post-primary education
teachers in the internal governorate in terms of the academic optimism measures was
at the high level where the mean ranged between (6.34) and (3.44) and the standard
deviation between (.634) and (.641).
There is Positive correlation and statistical significance at the level of significance
(0.012a) among all distributed leadership fields and areas of academic optimism.
- There were statistical significant differences at the level of (0.052a), This is according
to the gender variable in all axes of the study tool and for females (1-9), and there were
no statistical significant differences at the level of significance (0.052a) of the scientific
qualification variable in all axes of the study instrument.
- There were statistical significant differences at the level of significance (0.052a) for the
level of academic optimism in the study sample according to the gender variable and for
the females, according to the experience in teaching in all the study axes, except the
collective efficiency axis, and the absence of significant statistical differences at the level
of significance (0.052a) depending on the variable of scientific qualification in all axes,
except the axis of confidence of faculty members, parents and students, as well as in the
grand total, there were statistical significant differences in favor of the bachelor's
campaign.
Based on these findings, the researcher made several recommendations.
