English abstract
This study aimed to explore the reality of the digital transformation in Omani Organizations
post COVID-19, by examining the success factors for this transformation. Several critical
decisions have been taken by different entities to overcome the negative effects of this
pandemic by accelerating the process of digital transformation. According to the United
Nations e-government report for 2020, classifying the member countries of the Organization
of Islamic Cooperation, and according to the indicators of e-services and e-participation,
which measures the extent of progress made by countries in this field, it shows that the
Sultanate of Oman has made clear progress in this regard. The study proposes a model (TOE)
that has constructs from technological, organizational, and environmental. The hypothesized
model starts with the technological factors, followed by organizational factors, and ends with
environmental factors. A quantitative approach based on an online survey was conducted to
collect data from 400 employees from different institutions. An online survey was used
because the result of the survey approach can be generalized to all populations. Suitable for
quick data collection and a simple way of collecting the sample. The data will be collected
from large numbers of employees in different organizations, in which the results will be
generalized to all employees IBM SPSS and SmartPLS software were used to analyze the
data that were collected. These software are used to build and test hypotheses, can apply even
with a small sample size, and helps to generate a better result of having higher statistical
power. The results show that top management and technological readiness have the most
significant impact on digital transformation during covid-19. In addition, perceived
compatibility and organization mindfulness has a significant role in digital transformation
during covid-19. Moreover, governance support and cost minimization show a supporting
role in digital transformation during covid-19. The study recommended the necessity of
promoting digital transformation through media networks so that the beneficiaries recognize
them. This will lead, to an increase in the exploitation of technologies of the fourth industrial
revolution, thus, expanding the scope of their use. This study comes up with some theoretical
contributions as along as practical contributions that would help other researchers to expand
more studies in relation to this topic.
