Aesthetics of Quranic narrative stories: an analytical aesthetic study of the story in the Holy Quran, taking Adam's story as an example of application.
The theme of the story in the Quran is attractive subject to search. There are a lot of levels, aesthetic, and semantic, which still form the basis of studying this theme, despite the fact that there were a lot written on it in the past and current times, and as ! was reading through the literature on it, I find that there can be some deeper analysis where more lines have not been written yet, so I decided to discuss the issue with the possibility of saying a word of what I believe on it.
The Study of the Holy Quran is a goal in itself, the Quran is the only text characterized by perfect challenge miracle, with endless wonders, and the story in quran plays an important role in understanding some of that perfection and recognizing that miracle, and according to what we notice of rich critical and linguistic studies we feel that there is an urgent need to read the Quranic text in a way that derives its value from the great value of this text.
This thesis is divided into three chapters, the first chapter is entitled; introducing the concepts, with three topics; the first is the concept of beauty, and the second is the concept of narrative, and the third is the concept of the story in the Qur'an. The outcome of these topics formed the ground for the subsequent chapters.
The second chapter titled; benchmarks in the story of the Qur'an, which deals with the main points that characterize the narrative in the Qur'an. As it is well known, the story in the Qur'an related to its situation, or its purpose in an integral manner, and this is one of the signs distinguishing the narrative fiction from Quranic texts, as well as the distribution of the story in the Qur'an, repetition of stories and the diversity of the drafting of one story or
one event in the story, thus represents a landmark of the Quranic narratives from others, in addition to another sign which is the broad Permanent significance of meaning, which makes reading the Holy Quran is like a lasting trip towards the meaning, hence the chapter, included four sections; the first deals with place of story in the Quran, and the second looks at the distribution of the same story in the Koran, and the third in frequency and diversity of language use in the same story, and the fourth introduced the idea of the distance to the meaning.
Certainly, there are other distinguishing marks distinguishing features of quranic narratives are not limited to the ones mentioned in this thesis as in every reading of the text, we will find a milestone which distinguishes the quranic text from, but this research is limited to studying the main and prominent features in the Quranic narrative.
The third chapter was entitled; aesthetic qualities in the story of the Qur'an, has included four topics, the first section studies the nature of the use of language in the Koran, and specifically in those uses which stimulates the reader to question, a questioning that calls for reflection, I have found that such use of language, can be called; exciting language, as it illuminates the reader's thinking and invites him to investigate the significance in such use, and the second chapter is focused on the aesthetics of denotation in the Quranic stories, and in the third section we researched the aesthetics of reality in the. Quranic stories, and finally, the fourth section studied the time and event in the Quranic stories.
There are many studies on this subject, but I am trying in this study to add a word, as I believe in the integration of human knowledge, indicating that the Quranic story -in spite of these numerous studies- is still worth of thorough studies as it contains a great source of narrative aesthetics that needs more studies.
