English abstract
The study aimed to identify the reality of employing electronic
communication between school administration and parents in the
Sultanate of Oman in light of Epstein model of community
partnership. The study used a descriptive methodology with a
mixed-method approach. The population consisted of all
administrators, technicians, teachers and parents of students at all
stages of government schools.
A questionnaire tool was applied to a convenience sample of
(1340) individuals, and a semi-structured individual interview tool
was used with a purposive sample of (24) participants. The results
showed that school administrations employ technology in
partnership in communication at an average degree as stated from
the point of view of the study sample, while the analysis of the
interviews revealed three themes that describe how this recruitment
is carried out: the best practices of school administration in
partnership in the field of electronic communication, the challenges
and the development proposals. In light of the results, the study
provides a number of recommendations, the most important of
which is building the physical and human capacity of school
administrations and parents' councils in employing technology.
